Cover Crazy is slightly late this week. Sorry! But without further ado-
 This week I am crazy about:

Title: Addicted
Author: Charlotte Featherstone

Normally, I would say by now I’ve had enough with the covers that feature women in their fancy dresses, etc. Sure, some of them are quite nice and eye catching and I’m not dissing them all, of course. I’m just saying that after seeing a good amount, after awhile there’s nothing particular special about most of them anymore.

However, when I came across this cover, it was eye-catching. I instantly adored it. The dress reminds me of Victorian era and I tend to be drawn to that style often. I also find it beautiful in the styling with the black and white with the red smoke and garter ribbon along the side of the image. The font style is elegant and attention grabbing as well. It’s certainly something I would pick up from a shelf and look more into from just seeing the cover (which I’ve done and it’s definitely on my to-read list).

I not only love this cover, but I've been anxiously awaiting this book awhile. Even if I didn't know what it was about though, I would be picking it up from a shelf to have a look because the cover is enticing enough for me. There's just something about a little "creep-factor" that gets my attention. In this case, a ghostly image, bold texts, and dark tones on the cover- but they play out very nicely. I love it!

I love the blacks and grays mixed with the bold reds in this cover. The font is really elegant, too. This whole cover is unique in itself, a bit quirky and unusual. It really makes me want to read this book. In a way, it reminds me of a bit of Tim Burton-esque style. And I love Tim Burton. Haha. Really great enticing cover.

Title: Delirium

I have yet to read this book. It’s on my TBR pile and I definitely plan to pick it up soon. I absolutely adore this cover. It captivated me from the moment I saw it. The eye-catching turquoise and bold, elegant text particularly were attention grabbing on my part. I also love the image/face that is set behind the beautiful text.

Recently, the cover for the second book to the set was released. It’s also a gorgeous cover, but I might have a few nitpicks over it- or perhaps it’s just me. Of course, I hadn’t read Delirium yet, as I said above, so I can’t judge entirely, either.

A gorgeous cover as well that I’m crazy about. I love the colors and font style. The oranges mixed with the natural tones are brilliant and beautiful. However, I was a bit disappointed that the previous theme of Delirium’s simple yet gorgeous cover wasn’t kept for this cover as well, or something similar. It just seemed a bit out of place when putting it up with the set in my opinion. But ah well. It’s still pretty. Lol.

I love this cover. The text, the design, the girl’s dress, and the colors. It all blends so well! If I were to walk into a store, I probably wouldn’t even have to read the back synopsis to just pick this book up. It’s very enticing in its own way.

Title: Half-Blood

I really like this cover for several reasons. The main reason being that purple is my favorite color, so that color popping from the cover immediately grabs at me. Another is that it's simple, yet so elegant with the beautiful text and light playing over the flower. It's peaceful to look at actually. It's probably one of my favorite covers that I've found in the past few weeks. I judge a lot by covers, too. And I know, I know... "Never judge a book by its cover", but seriously.. I think every reader does it more than they may like to admit perhaps. :P
Anyways, I really like this cover. It draws me in and makes me want to know what the story within the pages could possibly be about.

I love this cover so much because of the colors and fonts. The vines wrapping around the headstone brings even more to the air of sorrow in the picture and it makes me want to learn this story just from looking at the cover. I thought this was a beautiful cover when I saw it.

Title: Unlovable
Author: Sherry Gammon

This cover immediately captured me the moment my eyes landed on the webpage when I came across it. I already know I’ll have to get it soon. It looks so realistic. The girl in the picture just pops out on the page… and the sorrow, the emotion, is clearly evident through the colors and style.
My only nitpick might be is that I’m not a big fan of the font here. I think the author name should have been set slightly lower so that the words weren’t right over the girl’s feet, but it’s not enough to distract from the gorgeous image. The picture alone here makes me want to read this.

This week, the cover I'm crazy over is:

Zombies Don't Cry: A Living Dead Love Story by Rusty Fischer

I love the fonts and elegance of the cover. The colors play out together nicely as the blue tones mingle well with the slight splashes of red and grays. It's a dark cover, giving it a gothic feel, but at the same time I feel drawn to the artistic style it's crafted in. It reminds me of Victorian, and I love elements of that style. Also, bravo for not showing the whole face of the girl, and only the eyes, adding more to the mystery.

Absolutely gorgeous cover. I can't wait to see it in person.

Dead on the Delta

Where do I begin? Well, for starters, there's a redhead on the cover. I'm partial to redhead characters because I'm one. Haha! And that tattoo on her arm has me a bit curious. I like ink. I have several tattoos myself... and there's something about that one on this character's arm that seems to just tell me there's a story to be told there alone with that.

The bold, capitalized font captures my attention. The colors are gorgeous. I love the forest and the way the lights are played out around the woman. But maybe it's really the line at the very bottom that has my head spinning completely around: "If you believe in fairies... run."

Well doesn't that just sound creepy? And fantastic! Way to really hook the reader in with just the cover! So now I wonder... are those twinkling dots on the cover more than perhaps 'fireflies'? There's a very supernatural, yet beautiful feel to this cover. I love it.

As I Wake

Elizabeth Scott

I love the black and white with the splashes of color. The inky textures and font evoke emotion right away upon looking at this cover, and it immediately had me reading the synopsis-- which sounded intriguing.

It's artistic and thought provoking. Is the girl on the cover crying? Or is she screaming? Only reading this book would probably determine the answer. Either way, it's an absolute gorgeous cover that I fell for the minute I saw it.
