Q: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month?

The best book I’ve read in the last month comes to a tie between two actually.

I haven’t really read any bad books recently, though I’ve read some that I perhaps had high expectations for and they disappointed a bit in the end--though they were still fairly good.

Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown comes to mind first when I think of this experience in the last month. A fair, average read…but not bad. I had had high expectations and unfortunately it disappointed and didn’t meet them. I’d still recommend it either way. But it was one of my “bad” reads over the last month compared to some other really great ones I had picked up I guess you could say.

Happy Friday and happy reading!

    1. So I've been told, several times. Haha! I will most definitely pick up Lola soon. Loved her writing style. And I'm normally not a contemporary fan so that's crazy.. but I could so love that author! :) Thanks for stopping by, sorry my weekend got away from me. :) Hope you had a great one!

    1. Thanks! :) Yeah, Lies Beneath was pretty decent--it was my first mermaid read--but didn't live up to the expectations I had unfortunately. Ah well. And yes, you do need to pick up Anna! :D

  6. I love Anna and the French Kiss! I need to reread it, because it's been too long since I first picked it up. Such a great book. I need something to tie me over until the final book comes out. I'm glad you loved it!

  9. I've heard great things about Anna. In fact, one blogger recommends it so much that now it's higher on my TBR list lol. I have yet to read lies beneath but hopefully it'll be good for me.
