Stacking the Shelves is about sharing the books you’re adding to your shelves for the week. Show off the books you’ve bought, won, borrowed, etc. While it’s usually hosted on Saturdays, it can be posted any day of the week that works. For my own personal time management, my STS posts will be on Sundays when I make them. STS is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. Click to learn more and follow other awesome bloggers!
Since this is my first STS post, I’m going to include the couple of books I got the week of the 7th-10th as well. They’re noted below.
Bought:
Awake at Dawn - C.C. Hunter *bought week before*
Graceling - Kristin Cashore
Insurgent - Veronica Roth (reading now)
Borrowed from a friend:
Fever - Lauren DeStefano *borrowed week before* (read, review coming soon)
Won:
Cold Fury - T.M. Goeglein (LibraryThing)
Other:
When You Were Mine - Rebecca Serle (Bookswap with another blogger)
NetGalley Books received recently for review:
Glitch - Heather Anastasiu
That's it! Looking forward to them, and I look forward to seeing everyone else's recent book hauls.
Have a fantabulous week ahead and happy reading!
I'd like to re-read Graceling before I read Fire and Bitterblue. Someday soon I hope.
ReplyDeleteMy Bookish Recap
I still have to read Graceling! You just reminded me of that. And wow, it's so cool that you and your friend both read! Mine do, too, but most of the times they read German translations or just not the type of books I do. (Or not nearly as much.)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
Patricia // My Haul/Week
Yeah, I'm pretty lucky about having a book buddy around. We'll go buy books together on occasion. She'll get one or two I've been wanting to read (while I'm buying others on my wishlist), and I'll get one or two that she's been wanting (while she's buying others on her wishlist)-- then we swap, borrow, and read. Haha. In the end, saves both of us some money. LOL! :P Even though I still go insanely crazy on book buying sprees and have to budget myself sometimes. :/
DeleteI enjoyed Graceling a lot! I hope you do too. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteAll of these are on my to-read list and I can't wait to get to them. Happy reading!

Great stack! And YAY for Insurgent! You're gonna love it!:D
ReplyDeleteFara @ Tumbling In Books
I hope so. Really loved Divergent. I'm about halfway through Insurgent though, and honestly? It's kind of disappointing me so far. :/ I'm hoping it picks back up soon or I'll be all sad. :(
DeleteI loved Graceling (and Fire), and of course, I want to read Insurgent too. Hope you enjoy all your books.
ReplyDeleteAwesome books this week! I have Graceling but I still haven't read it yet! I'm definitely going to have to read it this summer! Check out my shelves:
ReplyDeleteCrystal @ Elegantly Bound Books
Graceling is an engrossing read with wonderfully interesting characters and I enjoyed it on many levels. I won't summarize the plot again for this Amazon review, but the author offers some interesting thoughts on talents and personal agency that are insightful while telling a good story that can be taken at surface level for a light read if that's all you seek.
ReplyDeleteThe book has a satisfying romance that is neither mushy nor too remote. It rang more true overall than most relationships that have been in my recent reading. It's not primarily a romance, although the romance is a strong secondary plot that provides some of the motivation for the characters.
Yay, Pixie! So glad you are participating. I haven't read any of these yet but most of them are on my TBR list. The comment above mine is a spam comment. Click on their name to see it goes to a spam blog. Have a great week and happy reading!!
