Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

At first I liked Bill in the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series. In the first book anyway. Haha. But as soon as I met Eric, I was like “Goodbye Bill. Hellooooo Eric.” Then later, Bill just became crazy annoying throughout the entire series to me. I still can’t stand his character even now that I’m about to be starting the eleventh book. I can see his appeal to those who do love him, but just not my type. I miss how he was in the beginning--now he just lies and whines too much.

The same thing happened with Dimitri and Adrian in the Vampire Academy series. I still love Dimitri (that hot, tall Russian hunk that he is), but there’s just something about Adrian that I connect with more. As soon as his character was introduced, I didn’t “feel it” for Dimitri much the rest of the series the way I did with Adrian, so I guess you can say I broke up with Dimitri for Adrian. :p

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

  1. Great answer! I am so an Eric fan. Bill doesn't do it for me. ;) Also I don't think I prefer Adrian to Dimitri, but he is a great character.

  2. I was thinking of Adrian and Dimitri too for my answer. But I was going to pick Rose! She ticked me off, I'm sorry but Adrian was where its at. Dimitri is a hunka hunk but something about Adrian...
