Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

As much as I’ve been begging for it the past couple years, I would have to say Vampire Academy. I want the series so bad as a movie (and hopefully it’s FINALLY on its way), but at the same time, I’d be really nervous about it. I have my own perfect Adrian and Dimitri envisioned.

Then again, if I didn’t like it too much, I could just continue re-reading the books and sticking with my imagination. ;)

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

P.S. Be sure to join me here at the blog Saturday, April 14, for the cover reveal of my upcoming novel Darkness Comes This Way! You can see it also at Goodreads here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13558322-darkness-comes-this-way

  1. I think a lot of people feel the same way as you with Vampire Academy - there's always so much going on, and that might not translate so well on the big screen!

    Happy Friday!

  3. I've heard about Vampire Academy, but still haven't read them... I know what you mean, though, you want it, but you don't want it to be ruined.

  4. I'm not sure of what but I have always thought that the movie in twilight never live up the book. also, I think the adaption movie for Divergent will never live up the story if there is any :)

  5. Ha, exactly!! VA would be hard to adapt, plus.. I can already see alarmed parents storming the places demanding that Rose and Dmitri don't- well, oops, spoiler. *g

  6. Hopping through. I would be very nervous about VA. I don't think anyone could be a good Dimitri or Adrian.

  10. It is going to be difficult during casting for those two. I have such a distinctive idea of both that I'm afraid Hollywood would screw it up!
