Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted at The Broke and Bookish.
This week's topic:
Top Ten Books I'd Quickly Save If My House Was Going To Be Abducted By Aliens (or any other natural disaster...you get the drift. )
Honestly, if any kind of disaster struck and I really had the time to grab ten (or as many books, including series’ sets) books as I could, I would. I know they’re replaceable in most cases, but often they do have sentimental value too.
So here are my picks for the rescuing:
1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
2. Harry Potter collection
3. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte -- it’s a very old copy that has been passed through the family. I also have a newer copy, but I’d save the older copy since it’s a collectible.
4. My entire collection of Shakespeare works. It’s in one beautiful large bound edition. I couldn’t let it slip away.
5. The Vampire Academy series and Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
7. My Russian-English dictionary. I know, that one’s a bit weird maybe. But I’ve been learning a little Russian the last couple of years here and there--and depending on the situation, it might be useful to know another language, right?
Those are the ones I would grab up. I know it’s not a complete list of ten, but I did list series’ sets too, so it’s more than ten books in all really. To add, if I were to make the list an even ten-- I would just make the last few books from my shelf that I hadn’t read yet, three books from my TBR pile so that I’d have something new to read along with all of my old favorites, wherever I may end up after the disaster. I have a lot of unread books currently on my shelves, so it wouldn’t be hard to pick a few out. Haha.
Happy reading!
The Hunger Games and VA!!! They're a definite must! But I didn't put VA in my list:( The Top 10 couldn't eat all of my books:(. Great list, btw =D

I need to read Wuthering Heights! I love that you have a copy that's been passed down - I hope that I can do that with some of my books.
